No Limit

Definition of No Limit

No Limit indicates a variant of poker where there is never a betting limit. The only limit is the size of our mat. At any time, a player can push "all in" (go all in). We distinguish between Hold’em, No Limit, Hold’em pot limit and Hold’em limit. The Hold’em is one of the many variations that make up the poker (Stud, Omaha, Hold’em, 2-7 Triple Draw, Courchevelle, etc). The No Limit (when we speak of No Limit, we implicitly speak of Hold’em) is on the other hand the most popular and widespread form of poker. Every year in Las Vegas a poker tournament is held called the "Main Event of World Series of poker" and it is this $No Limit,000 US tournament in Hold’em with no limit that determines the poker world champion.

The other forms of poker

Often, variants of poker will be written as shortcuts such as NLHE. For example, Pot Limit Omaha will be identified as PLO. The Omaha Hi-Loth will often be identified as O8 or O H/L. Be sure to select the right options when playing poker online since it is possible that your room of poker will use these shortcuts. Many people have probably wondered why they couldn't go preflop because they chose an LHE table instead of an NLHE table!
