Antanas Guoga aka 'Tony G' is a poker player, businessman, politician and philanthropist. We could easily write a book about his life, but we'll try to be concise here. Tony has played poker tournaments all over the world and his total winnings now stand at over $11 million. His biggest career win came recently when, in 2022, he finished 2nd in the €100,000 No Limit Short Deck Hold'em for $1.3 million. He also has 17 WSOP paid places, 3 WPT final tables and 7 WPT paid places. In 2004, he reached 2 WSOP final tables. He is also known for his outspokenness and legendary tilt scenes at the poker tables.

In 2002, Tony G bought the PokerNews domain name, hired a few employees and the site had just launched. Today it is one of the biggest poker news sites publishing in several languages. Tony has also been involved in politics in his home country of Lithuania. Between 2014 and 2019, he was elected as an MEP for the Liberal Movement of the Republic of Lithuania. In 2020, he was elected by the Workers' Party in Lithuania.

What is he doing today?

In 2014, Tony had announced his retirement from poker. However, a few years later, in 2017, we saw him back on the circuit. In 2018, we saw him on The Big Game with other poker pros. We also see that he has played several poker tournaments recently (2022). Although he's a little less active than he was a few years ago, Tony G is still very much a part of the poker world. On a personal level, Tony is married to a clothing model, Aistė Šlapokaitė. They have had 2 children together to date.
