Biography and performances

He is one of the most respected players in world poker and in the French-speaking community. Having been on the circuit for fifteen years, Davidi Kitai has built up an exceptional track record and a fearsome reputation. Nicknamed "The Genius", the Belgian is known for his unpredictable play, which is sometimes far from theoretical, and for his ability to read his opponents' game. A key member of Team Winamax, Davidi Kitai is now one of Europe's best players, both Live and Online.

Davidi Kitai first came to prominence in the mid-2000s. He then frequented the Parisian tables and made a name for himself for the first time in 2006 by winning the Euro Finals of Poker in Paris, at the ACF, for €30,000. His career took off shortly afterwards. He narrowly missed out on his first EPT final table in Barcelona the following year and then went on to make the WSOP in 2008. Then a recent member of Team Pro Winamax, the Belgian won the $2,000 9-max in front of more than 600 players to claim his first bracelet and a winnings of $244,583.

The quest towards the triple crown

A few days later, he would also reach the $5,000 final to increase his haul for the week by $120,693. And on his return from Vegas, he reached 3rd place in the EPT Barcelona to set his new record winnings: €455,000.

In 2011, he won the WPT Celebrity Invitational in Los Angeles and then the following year, he took on the Berlin edition of the 2012 EPT, for €712,000 in winnings. This earned him the famous 'triple crown', which rewards players who have won a title on all three major circuits: the WSOP, the WPT and the EPT. Only eight players in the history of poker have achieved this feat.

Regularity and longevity

Not satisfied though, Davidi Kitai won a second WSOP bracelet in 2013, in Pot Limit Hopld'em this time for $225,000 in prize money, then a third the following year, opening the festival, for half a million dollars.

Installed at the highest buy-ins, Davidi would come close to a 4th bracelet in the $10,000 6-handed in 2016. In 2018, he would achieve the feat of winning the Party Poker Millions Barcelona High Roller before reaching the final of the same festival's Main event three days later, for more than €1 million in cumulative winnings. Alongside his Live career, he has been rampant in online rooms under the alias Kitbul, regularly amassing trophies and juicy performances.

The genius of "read"

Besides his many successes, Davidi is getting noticed for his "reads". Numerous videos illustrate his ability to guess his opponent's hands, enabling him to make some incredible calls. His friendliness and simplicity play a large part in his notoriety, with Davidi quite simply being one of the most followed and appreciated players in the French-speaking community.
