Martin Jacobson (M.nosbocaJ)

Martin Jacobson was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1987. He is best known for winning the main event of the World Series at Poker in 2014. In that event, he came out on top of 6,683 players and took home $10 million USD and the prestigious bracelet awarded at every WSOP tournament event. To date, he has also made 4 WSOP final tables and 16 paid places. We've also seen him shine in other tournament series such as the World Poker Tour in which he made 2 final tables and the European Poker Tour where he made 4 final tables and won 9 paid places.

Ambassador of 888poker

Following his tournament successes and after being named the Player of the Year by a Swedish publication, Martin signed a deal with online poker room 888poker to become one of the ambassadors.

What is he doing today?

Martin still plays poker both online at PokerStars (under the pseudonym "Mr.nosbocaJ") and in casinos around the world. To illustrate just how active and winning Martin still is on the international scene, in 2023 alone he won 20 paid spots in major casino tournaments in 5 different countries. On a more personal level, Martin has pledged to donate 3% of his tournament winnings and 2% of his cash game winnings to Raising for Effective Giving. This organisation is mainly made up of poker players and funds a multitude of projects ranging from research into malaria to research into artificial intelligence and the protection of animal rights.
