Dan Smith (not to be confused with Dan Smith, lead singer of the pop group Bastille) was born in 1989 in the United States. He is best known for his tournament performances. No matter how big the buy-in, Dan Smith will play in the tournament. He is known for playing in High Roller and Super High Roller tournaments. He has been seen in a tournament with a buy-in of over $1 million, the £1,050,000 No Limit Hold'em - Triton Million for Charity. At the event, he finished in 3rd place for an impressive purse equivalent to $8.7 million. His total tournament winnings exceed $45 million. Until recently, Dan Smith was considered by many to be the best poker player in the world who had yet to win a WSOP bracelet. In 2022 he corrected that by winning the $25,000 No Limit Hold'em - Heads-Up Championship. That day, in addition to the bracelet, he took home just over $500,000.
