Dan Smith (not to be confused with Dan Smith, lead singer of pop band Bastille) was born in 1989 in the USA. He is best known for his tournament performances. No matter how big the buy-in, Dan Smith will play in the tournament. He is known for playing in High Roller and Super High Roller tournaments. He has been seen in a tournament with a buy-in of over a million dollars, the £1,050,000 No Limit Hold'em - Triton Million for Charity. At the event, he finished in 3rd place for an impressive purse equivalent to 8.7 million US dollars. His total tournament winnings exceed $45 million. Until recently, Dan Smith was considered by many to be the best poker player in the world who had yet to win a WSOP bracelet. In 2022, he corrected the situation by winning the $25,000 No Limit Hold'em - Heads-Up Championship. That day, in addition to the bracelet, he took home just over $500,000.
