In this section, you'll find short biographies of a number of poker pros or people who have made their mark on the poker world.

Here you'll find dozens of players who have left their mark on poker in their own way. For each player, you'll find a card with their basic information, such as date of birth, pseudonym, nationality and place of birth. You can also read a mini bio on each person. The bios don't pretend to be exhaustive, but they will give you an insight into the highlights of each player's career and why that person is important in the poker world. The majority of players on this list are still active, but some are no longer, most notably the late Doyle "Texas Dolly" Brunson, who passed away in May 2023. His name is on this list because he will forever be a legend in the poker world. He was one of poker's first celebrities. In fact, it was he who said at the time, "Give me the position and I'll win every poker tournament".

At the bottom of these biographies, for most players, you'll find a series of videos featuring these people. It's worth noting that if someone's name appears here, it's because they've left their mark on poker in their own way. Some have excelled in cash games, others in tournaments, some are in the Poker Hall of Fame, others have helped popularize poker. Many of these names have unusual stories. You can probably read these biographies like a good novel, to increase your knowledge of the poker world while keeping yourself entertained. These stories are also inspiring, as many of them have made incredible achievements despite their young age.
