Biography and performances
He likes heavy barbells, big pints and big river breezeblocks. Dangerous at the poker tables, friendly away from them, Pierre Calamusa has brought a lot of talent and freshness to the French poker scene. The Grenoble native has initiated numerous media projects within Team Winamax and for his own personal channel, but he has made a name for himself above all for his dazzling performances.
Pierre Calamusa follows the classic path of the new generation: enrolment in higher education, disappointment in courses and revelation on the online poker tables. After a few months, the Isère native left his business school to devote himself fully to his favorite game. Under his pseudonym "LeVietF0u", Pierre won just about every tournament offered on the Winamax lobby, and soon showed great aptitude. For both poker and gambling. In his youth, he was known for being a good party companion and for his dubious bankroll management.
Team Pro and early blitz
When he joined Team Winamax in 2015, he entered a new dimension. As soon as he arrived, he won the Winamax Poker Open in Dublin, for €70,000. He confirmed this in 2016 by reaching his first EPT final table in Monte Carlo, with a good 4th place for €233,800. The following years were not marked by any resounding successes, but LeVietF0u maintained a fine regularity on the Live and Online circuit.
Also, he's gradually shedding the image of night-time troublemaker to become a personality whose whimsy but also discipline is appreciated. Pierre Calamusa shares his routines, sports training and hobbies, through Winamax video content but also for his personal channel. Very active on the networks, he takes part in innovative content, notably the "Make Your Bankroll Great Again" Challenge. For almost a month, Pierre streams each of these sessions to illustrate the challenges surrounding the daily life of a low-limit player looking to build up his bankroll.
WSOP and Winamax Series
Returning to the coalface, Pierre Calamusa will be particularly sharp at the 2019 WSOP. He plays his first final table on the $5,000 6-max, reaching 4th place for $219,468, while fellow Team Winamax member Joao Vieira goes on to win the tournament. The entire tournament and Pierre's commentary were recorded by Winamax cameras for the now famous "In the Head of a Pro" series.
LeVietF0u would also crack down online a few months later at the Winamax Series. No bottle this time, but an anthological 2nd place in the festival's biggest tournament, the 4 Million Event. Beaten by Dr.Bayard, the Team Pro collected €291,632, the biggest win of his career.
Now based in Portugal, Pierre Calamusa continues to be active on the tables as well as on the networks. His new video projects, his taste for sports betting and his lifestyle are followed with interest by the community, who hope to see LeVietF0u continue his rise to the top of world poker.
