Player, coach, streamer, influencer... In the poker world, YohViral wears all his hats at once. His presence on the networks and the strength of his community make him one of the key players in French poker. Adored by some, criticized by others, he's the talk of the town with every one of his releases, sometimes haloed by notorious successes.
It's hard to list all the facets of YohViral's personality. Wharammer champion, radio host, for his own station (Rad-Yoh) or on Fun Radio, reality TV contestant, streamer and finally, poker player. But it was on the green carpet that Yoh Viral was to achieve notoriety and success.
The circle debut
In 2010, Johan Guilbert discovered the game and frequented Parisian circles. He builds up a cash game bankroll, then moves to Cagliari at the end of the year. He worked hard on his game and gradually became a professional player.
In the spotlight
YohViral is gifted at the cash game tables but also in front of the camera. In 2014, he appeared in season 4 of the House of Bluff. The following year, he created his Youtube channel and became one of the first players to share his life as a grinder and offer technical content on video. In 2016, he joined Team Pro PMU. From then on, he was a regular on many poker-related media platforms. But it's mainly on his Twitch, Youtube and Facebook channels that the streamer puts himself on stage, gathering thousands of viewers every week to follow his sessions.
Yoh Viral is also setting up his own poker academy, on which he offers strategic content and coaching. Some detractors will criticize his aggressive marketing, but Yoh gathers a vast community of apprentices who reinforce his influence in the poker ecosystem.
Live Poker Success
His online and cash game successes are helping him build a bankroll. But Yoh Viral still lacks legitimacy in Live Poker. From 2018 onwards, Yoh showed himself more in the circuit and was rewarded at the 2019 WSOP. He reached 2nd place in the $3,000 shoutout tournament, winning $128,000. In 2021, he takes on the world's best players in the Super High Roller Bowl at the Merit Casino in Kyrenia, Cyprus. At this festival, he finishes first in a $25,000 tournament and then 3rd in the $100,000, for a profit approaching $1 million over the week.
